Relief Projects
Tragically, severe food shortages are now the norm in many parts of Africa. Millions are currently threatened by famine due to drought or civil war. Millions more have been displaced by the 20 major civil wars and scores of minor wars that have flared on the African continent since 1960. Such large-scale upheavals as war and famine place large groups of people in immediate need of rapid emergency relief.
African Leadership enters into project partnerships in such cases, working with African churches, church leaders and ministries to distribute food, water, blankets, clothing, temporary shelters, malaria pills, seeds and farming implements, and other necessary life-saving supplies to at-risk populations. We do this out of simple obedience to Christ’s call to serve the poorest and neediest among us, meeting their physical needs and offering eternal hope for their spirits as well.
‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.; - Matthew 25:34-36 (NASB)
