African Leadership focuses on strengthening families by addressing education and livelihoods together. We work with children and adults concurrently, recognizing that long-term educational outcomes depend on stable household conditions.
Our work centers on two primary areas. First, we support education for children through the development and operation of schools that provide consistent instruction, daily care, and safe learning environments. Second, we support livelihoods for adults by building practical skills and income opportunities that contribute to household stability.
Livelihood initiatives include sustainable fish farming, which increases local food supply while generating reliable income. African Leadership currently operates four fish farms, each producing approximately five tons of fish per year and generating an average annual income of $15,800. These farms reduce food costs in surrounding communities while supporting pond owners living in severe poverty.
African Leadership also supports hands-on construction skills training for men, including brick making and house construction. Participants learn through active building projects, applying skills directly to real construction work. This training supports employment opportunities, improves local housing quality, and contributes to essential community infrastructure.
In addition to completed programs, African Leadership manages multiple ongoing projects across education, skills training, and livelihoods. These include schools under construction, active construction and skills training initiatives, and the development of a vocational training center that will formalize instruction in construction, woodcrafting, sewing, and tailoring.
Today, African Leadership has helped establish 100+ schools, supporting 6,000+ students with the guidance of 300+ teachers across multiple communities in Africa.
By integrating education with livelihood initiatives that generate food, income, and practical skills, African Leadership reduces long-term vulnerability and supports durable household stability. Our work is grounded in shared investment, local participation, and measurable outcomes.
